BOE Passes Interim Charter Schools Appeals Policy

BOE Policy 8100 outlines process for appealing denial or revocation

On June 21, 2007 the Hawai`i Board of Education passed this interim policy in order to fulfill its role as the appeals body in the charter application process.

Policy 8100 outlines the appeals process for the following:

  • A charter school application that has been denied;
  • An established charter school's application for a Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) amendment has been denied; or
  • An established charter school's charter has been revoked.
